Thought I’d share another one of my favorite FaceBook “stalks”! Horse Sense Riding Academy in Ellijay, Georgia (no idea where that is, looks pretty warm though) is managed by Nikki and Dana Surrusco.
Eventing is their main passion, but they do an amazing job of being creative with their ideas to draw their clients into spending more time out at their stable. More time equals more growth, more growth as a rider equals more lessons needed, a saddle bought, a future horse on the horizon.
I love the Ground Games camp, the Halloween Fun show, and all their camp ideas.
They recently moved into a new facility which seems to be just a very small barn, outdoor arena, couple of pastures—it does have a very cool Farm House which they use for their camps/crafts/library and all their un-mounted activities.
Last spring I purchased both their Red & Yellow Learning Levels set for Riding and Horsemanship. They were awesome! I copied parts of both for my camp programs. The Learning Levels is really a cool idea.
Just the other day (during the winter months, they are limited on times to ride outside) they did a huge Winter Horse Sense Team Challenge. The pics were great looking—I did something similar once, and I may try to do it again. Good winter time project!
Be sure to check out their web-site, Horse Sense Riding Academy, as well as their Face Book page!
