Tuesday was my birthday. Tuesday is one of the days I have all my instructors in and teaching. So I thought I’d go out and beat the bushes looking for a horse or so for some clients (one actively looking for a horse, and others who need a new horse but don’t know it yet!). Also it was going to be a little birthday adventure a couple of hours away. And I will say I did find a very interesting horse, and a neat horse for the client who is looking. Now to get it all done.
Wednesday is the day before Thanksgiving. All the later lessons wanted to ride earlier—no school. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a good ride.
Thursday equaled Jenn and I taking turns feeding. No lessons, no work. Did have snow in the morning.
Friday equals the first Black Friday Camp. Really thought it would be a huge success. Well, I think the handful of kids that did come had a great time and got to spend a lot of fun time at the barn. But I didn’t get the 20 plus kids I was hoping for. Well if you don’t try you don’t know.
Oh, also on Friday set up and decorated a Christmas tree at the Taylorsville Chamber of Commerce for their Santa room. All local businesses decorated a tree incorporating their business. We’re in between a local Subway restaurant and Elk Creek Realty. There is a contest, and the winner does get a write up and an ad in the local paper. But I don’t think the Louisville Equestrian Center, the Subway or Elk Creek realty or anyone else in the room will win, because over in the corner, someone was setting up a white Christmas tree decorated as a snowman. Never seen this done before, so cute—it was wearing a top hat, and the ornaments (black and orange) were its eyes, nose and mouth. Also had a cute scarf and buttons down the front. I would have given them first place.
Oh well, good to get the word out—did hand out some lesson flyers.
