I’m a Barn FaceBook Stalker!
By checking out what other instructors are doing I get new ideas and new inspiration. The other day I was on Pam Roush’s Avalon Stable page and she had the cutest pony competing in some sort of carriage class. I thought I need a cute pony with a carriage-thing. Well I don’t have any $$$ for a cute pony and carriage-thing—but you know what I do have—I have a Haflinger Pony (that I’m kinda attached to, that none of my instructors really like) that is super cute. So maybe he needs a new job. Hmmm, we have another horse in the barn that hasn’t quite lived up to expectations—maybe carriage driving?
But back to FaceBook stalking—don’t just limit yourself to Saddle Seat programs—I’ve gotten a ton of cool ideas from other programs and styles of riding. Also don’t just stick with riding programs—our local ice skating rink has a large following with the kids and their familes. Iceland does some really cool stuff with their lessons, camps, school breaks and options for non-competitive skaters. Really cool actually.
Be sure to check out Pam Roush’s Avalon Stables website and FaceBook page she has a beautiful website and also does a ton of fun stuff that she keeps posting on her page.
New ideas and New inspiration for 2015!
